1. How do I access the extranet?

On the Upstream homepage, you will see a login panel:

Please note that the username and password are case-sensitive, so if the username you were supplied is "UseR1", it will not work if you type "user1". This may seem inconvenient, but it adds extra security to the extranet authorization procedure.

It is important that you click the 'GO' buttom as opposed to hitting the Return key on your keyboard, as this may result in an empty page being displayed. If this should happen, simply click the 'Back' button in your browser and log in again.

2. Other people in my company need access - what do I do?

You can either pass your own login information on to them, if you do not mind sharing this sensitive data with them, or you can simply contact us and we will send the necessary details directly through to them.

Please ensure you supply the full name, company name and email address of the person who needs access so that your request can be processed as quickly as possible.

If you have difficulty in remembering the password you were supplied with, please contact us and we will update it for you.

Please ensure you supply your existing username and password for security purposes, along with your new choice of password, so that your request can be processed as quickly as possible.

5. How do I navigate the extranet?

Once you have logged in, you will either be presented with a list of client folders that you have access to, or you will be taken straight to your client folder if you only have access to one. Please select the client folder you wish to browse as necessary, in the first case scenario.

You will see a list of the deliverables that pertain to the selected client folder, and this can range from a single entry to up to a dozen depending on how much work your company has commissioned. Under each deliverable name, a list of individual pages is shown. Please select the page you wish to view.

At the top of the page, you will then see the following:

The navigation is hierarchically structured, and you can tell which client folder you are currently browsing in capital letters on the first line. The second line informs you which deliverable and page you are viewing. The third line is a "cookietrail" style navigation, which allows you to access any page further up in the hierarchy with a single click, starting with your extranet homepage furthest to the left. It also tells you at a glance where you are located on the extranet: the last entry furthest to the right in white.

Please note that if you only have access to a single folder, you will not be shown the "All Folders" part of the cookietrail navigation.

The main page content comprises text, images and downloadable files as necessary. When images (known as "thumbnails") are shown, you will be able to click on them to see a much larger version in a new browser window. You can print out the images as necessary from the new browser windows.

To download files, when available, please follow the instructions directly on the page.

6. How do I finish my extranet session?

At the top right of the extranet page, you will see the following:

Please click the "log out" link (as circled above). This will take you back to the Upstream homepage.

It is important that you log out after browsing the extranet to ensure that security is not compromised. The extranet can contain sensitive documents, which often require restricted access.

You will be logged out automatically if you quit your browser.
